Applications are invited for a Senior Research Associate to work on the project Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR), funded by Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) working with Dr Roger Few. This position is based at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, UK.
The post holder will take a full intellectual role in the development and conduct of ASSAR research and research-into-use activities in East Africa.
You must have a PhD or equivalent qualification in environment and development, experience of research or applied work on climate change adaptation or climate risk management and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria detailed in the person specification for the post, including willingness and ability to undertake regular international travel for periods of up to 2 months.
The post is available from 15 April 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter on a full-time basis for a fixed term period ending 31 August 2018.
