The Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) in Singapore, in a joint initiative between the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and Singapore’s National Research Foundation, is looking for a doctoral student to build a decision support system for planning urban green areas in mega-cities. The Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future announces the request for proposals for their third round of Postdoctoral Fellowships in Sustainability. This program is intended to stimulate original cross-disciplinary research and development of sustainable solutions that address the world’s most pressing problems in six focus areas: sustainable agriculture and food systems, energy transitions, one health, sustainable communities, new materials, and computational sustainability. 2016 African ESP Conference: 21-25 November, Nairobi, Kenya

The first Conference of the Regional Africa chapter of the ESP (Ecosystem Services Partnership) will be held in Nairobi, Kenya on November 21-25 2016. The conference theme will be Ecosystem Services for SDGs in Africa. Discussions will focus on Africa’s contribution towards data and evidence on best practices for management and restoration of ecosystem services for decision making, particularly towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
