Land degradation determination through state parameter shift This proposal has been funded for three years by the South African National Research Foundation. The grant-holder is Prof Bob Scholes of the Global Change and Sustainability Research Institute, University of the Witwatersrand. Living Lands & The Four Returns Development Company Post-Graduate Research Students: Water Sector   Background Living Lands and the Four Returns Development Company are private social benefit organisations working with stakeholders in the western catchments (Kromme, Kouga and Baviaanskloof river catchments) that supply most of the current water resources to Port Elizabeth.
