Applications are invited for a one year post doctoral fellowship in the Department of Environmental Science at Rhodes University. The candidate will join a vibrant research community in the department, and will work primarily on a project entitled: Fostering community based ecosystem stewardship in conjunction with ecological restoration efforts.
The project will feed directly into an applied context where restoration efforts are underway in a communal area in South Africa.

Suitably qualified candidates should have a background in community based research contexts, and preferably display a strong understanding of participatory development processes in developing countries.
The candidate will be based full time at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa.
Fellowship Value: R180 000, plus R28 000 for running costs
