The Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to lead a participatory modelling study that analyses the vulnerability of Spanish rural communities to the compounded effects of climate change, depopulation and agricultural trade, and explores the feasibility and effectiveness of vulnerability mitigation policies.

UCT Postdoctoral Research Fellowship: Responsive and Resilient Systems – Towards a Resilience Observatory

UCT, through the African Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI) and the Future Water Institute (FWI), is recruiting a postdoctoral research fellow (PDRF), who will be one several researchers in UCT’s SDG PDRF cohort.  The PDRF will undertake research that will conceptualise and scope out the potential for a Cape Town Resilience Observatory.

Inaugural Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainability Learning offered at Rhodes University

This inaugural Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainability Learning is the first of its kind in Southern Africa. This exciting inter-disciplinary programme is designed for professionals who work in any area of social-ecological sustainability. The aim is to support these professionals to understand, critique, plan and implement socially-engaged learning processes that may help society transition to sustainability.
