The Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) in Singapore, in a joint initiative between the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) and Singapore’s National Research Foundation, is looking for a doctoral student to build a decision support system for planning urban green areas in mega-cities.
For setting up such a spatially explicit decision support system, a highly skilled and motivated candidate is sought to work on the development of ecosystem services modeling techniques and 3D vegetation visualizations. The work is done in close collaboration with landscape architects, landscape ecologists, and water engineers.
The position is embedded within the “Ecosystem Services in Urban Landscapes” module, and would be based in Singapore, while the PhD degree would be conferred by ETH Zurich.
