This is an announcement for six tenured positions in Australia – in social science, computational biology, and ecology. Also available are six Postdoctoral Fellowships (see below).

Coral Reef Research Leaders James Cook University (JCU), in partnership with the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies, is seeking to recruit up to six outstanding mid-career to established career coral reef research fellows to tenured positions in Townsville. Appointees will make a major contribution to their field of expertise and drive research development and collaboration with national and international partners. Fellows will develop leadership roles and foster research excellence within James Cook University and the ARC Centre. Generous research funds will be provided to successful candidates.

Social Science – Ref. No. 14154 We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in behavioural economics, development studies, food security, political science, and human geography.

Mathematical Biology – Ref. No. 14153 Key areas include theoretical ecology, ecological modelling, and development of novel statistical methods for biological problems.

Coral Reef Ecology – Ref. No. 14152 We seek expertise in population and community biology, historical ecology, evolutionary macroecology and biogeography

Expressions of Interest: Coral reef early to mid career research fellowships

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies is seeking to fill 6 new early to mid career research fellow positions across a range of disciplines. These new positions will be based at James Cook University, the University of Queensland, and the University of Western Australia. We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates with some postdoctoral research experience, a track record of publication and with broad areas of expertise which would contribute to the following research themes of the Centre: People and Ecosystems; Ecosystem dynamics: past, present and future; Responding to a Changing World.
